Our History
Filipinos have been part of American history since 1587, contributing as military members, workers, professionals, and more. The Filipino American Northwest Association, founded in 2018 by Jacqueline Babol, is a non-profit serving Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, and surrounding areas.
Vision Statement
The Filipino American Northwest Association envisions a compassionate and connected community where hunger and food insecurity are eliminated through collaborative efforts, and where Filipino arts and culture serve as powerful tools to uplift the human spirit, foster resilience, and build a shared sense of belonging. Through our developing friendship city partnership with Malay, Aklan, Philippines, we deepen cultural exchange and promote global understanding, strengthening both local impact and international friendship.
Mission Statement

Through accessible food programs, culturally rooted wellness initiatives, and dynamic arts and cultural experiences, we uplift individuals and strengthen community identity.
Our developing Friendship city partnership with Malay, Aklan, Philippines deepens global connections, fostering mutual understanding, cultural pride, and international friendship. Together, these efforts create a vibrant, inclusive, and empowered community where every generation thrives.
