WHO WE ARE
The Asian Business Association of Orange County (ABAOC) was founded in 1992, as a non-profit business under IRS 501(c) (6), to meet the needs of the growing Asian businesses in Orange County. Its vision was to build an organization that would provide all Asian Americans the opportunity to gain access to economic advancement through networking, education and community representation.
For more than 25 years, ABAOC has been a leader in community service in the Asian and small business community in Orange County. Since its establishment, it has successfully organized many major events, including networking mixers, procurement events, and outreach programs through the support of its members, sponsors and community affiliates. ABAOC events and programs inspire and stimulate small business owners, start-ups and entrepreneurs to grow and prosper through creation of new opportunities, education, networking and community participation.
WHAT WE DO
Despite current economic challenges the goals of ABAOC remain the same – to continue to grow and provide value added programs and projects that will benefit our members.
ABAOC will continue to provide opportunities to advance in business and in the community. ABAOC leaders continue to work diligently to bring value to its members, corporate partners and sponsors with events and programs including:

OUR HISTORY
The Asian Business Association of Orange County (ABAOC) was founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. ABAOC members, officers and directors come from diverse cultural backgrounds and work harmoniously together to meet the needs of growing Asian businesses in Orange County. Their vision was to build an organization that would provide all Asian Americans the opportunity to gain access to economic advancement through networking, education and community representation.
ABAOC board of directors, officers, and members come from many cultural backgrounds and work harmoniously together to foster business opportunities for the Asian business community. It has united many different ethnic business organizations and chambers of commerce to form one of the most diverse and influential business organizations in the community. It has also collaborated with different chambers and community organizations in fostering economic and social development.
Over the last 21 years, ABAOC has developed strong relationships with all its affiliates through corporate partners and supporters, government relationships and other business chambers while carrying out its mission. Our growth and ability to provide valuable and successful programs is only possible through the support, passion and dedication of our corporate sponsors, members and community affiliates. Since its inception, ABAOC has organized networking mixers, procurement events, and outreach programs. It is the host of the successful Annual Procurement Conference of Orange County. This popular event started in 2000 and has provided all businesses with the opportunity to gain procurement contracts from major corporations.
ABAOC has built close relationship with other local, state and national organizations to gain access to economic opportunities and to voice the concerns of Asian businesses to all levels of the government. ABAOC is also a major participant in the formation of the Asian Business Association of America, an organization that represents the interests of Asian businesses all over the country to the Federal government.
